Greenwood TX, A Weekend Back In Time
We were visiting Greenwood Texas and stayed at a bed and breakfast on the square in Decatur Texas, about 12 miles away. Although the tiny community of Greenwood takes up one street, there are many sights to see. The buildings look like they should be in old western movies and the people are friendly.

Greenwood Grocery and Grill is a step back in time. We went to the little caf?? for their famous old fashioned hamburger with fresh cut fries. Along the walls are autographed guitars and historical photographs. On Saturday nights they serve fresh catfish from 6pm until they run out.

After a very filling meal we headed across the street to the Historical Museum for some local history. To the right of the museum is an antique water pump that you can use to pump fresh water from the ground by hand.
